Guide to Writing a Persuasive Speech
GENERAL RULES • The speech must be an original work, scripted word for word. • The speaker will present a persuasive speech on any subject he or she chooses. Humor and satire are permitted. • Up to 150 quoted words are allowed and must be cited properly.
BRAIN STORMING:
Brainstorm your topics:
What do you feel passionate about, something that needs changing or fixing?,……
Now list 5 ideas (5minutes)

Now you need a “catch” (a story, an astonishing fact that is relevant to your need for change, or an appropriate quote to make your point of the whole speech) to get the audiences attention:
