Fall- A Great Time for “Spring Cleaning”

Published by carlpaulino at 7:54 am under Home Management Edit This

This Thanksgiving and Christmas break is a great time to empty out those closets and drawers and try on the clothes.

First, do they fit? Second, are you or the kids going to wear them this winter season?
If not, will we save them for next year or pass them on?

Sort the clothes into Storage, Keeping, Giving away and throwing away piles.

Fold the “Keep” pile and put them away. Make a list of clothes you and the kids do need for the up and coming season.

Wash and fold the clothes to give away and put them in a black garbage bag. Find a local charity online or in the phone book and drop them off.

Pack in Rubbermaid tubs the clothes you want to keep, label the tub with the season of clothes and year that you store them. Use masking tape instead of permanent marker.

Throw the old ones out in the trash!

Follow this same method with those winter coats and all the shoes you need to get out of the closet.

Now your drawers and closets are lighter and you are ready until spring!
