Organize those Toys
What do you think of toy boxes? In general, the idea is good, but practically it becomes a place just tothrow stuff that the kids aren’t playing with that have been left on the floor.
I have found that getting clear Rubbermaid or sterlite tubs are a great way to organize the kid’s toys. The lids keep the toys in the containers and since they are see through, the kids can know what is in each one.
These types of containers fit nicely on shelves to have a neat and tidy look. The most effective way of keeping this kind of system is by grouping similar items in containers.
We have containers that hold: blocks, Barbies, snap on dolls, cars, potato heads etc. I just remind the kids to clean up and put it back in the box and on the shelf before picking something new.
For celebrations, I try to buy things that go with the containers they already have and really enjoy playing with.
Under the bed size of containers work nice for books or leapsters to play at night before bed.
